1970 MGB #1 - Sold!

Lack of parking spot forced me to sell my 1970 MGB.

It was set up vintage-racer-style with Brooklands Aeroscreens. Was fixing it up over the last year, and basically it was just getting ready to go when it had to go.

Jobs done:

  • New Paint (Dark Metallic Blue)
  • Replaced both front fenders, both outer and middle sills, etc.
  • Replaced Front Bumper
  • Engine refreshed, new rings, bearings, etc.
  • Replaced radiator
  • Replaced battery

...and many other small jobs.

All of the above work is photodocumented in my Restoration Photos...

1970 MGB #2, still here.

I can't say no to a sorry old car down on it's luck.

So, September 25th 2000 I picked up 1970 MGB #2.

Here are some pics of MGB #2...

1970 MGB #1 - The final pics...

Oh well, life goes on. Here are some pics of the old girl leaving to a new owner.

[ MGB ]   When a truck this big shows up at your front door, you have to give him something. The just-visible MGB looks on in excitement.

[ MGB ]   I just couldn't get this entire truck in one picture, it was enormous. What I could do with a set of wheels like that...

[ MGB ]   I suppose insurance is expensive for a reason, but watching this guy drive the car up the ramps and along this thing looked anything but secure. He didn't seem concerned though, so I guess he's done this at least once before.

[ MGB ]   And there it sat as it pulled out of my view. Good night sweet prince.
